Join the Floating Wind Challenge info session to learn how students can design floating wind structures and win prizes.
You’re invited to attend an informative session about the Floating Wind Challenge, where students will have the unique opportunity to design and build floating wind structures!
About the Challenge:
During the 2025 edition, participants will create the best floating support structure for a Vevor 400W turbine. This challenge promotes innovation and practical application of renewable energy concepts.
Who Can Attend:
This session is open to all post-secondary students (18+) currently enrolled in any Nova Scotian academic institution, including those in undergraduate, master’s, and diploma programs.
What to Expect:
- Overview of the challenge objectives and requirements
- Details on COVE’s collaboration with OffshoreWind4Kids and RBC Tech for Nature
- Information on the competition date (expected between February 19th and 25th)
- Details on the opportunity for the winning team to compete internationally in Viana do Castelo, Portugal
