CMAR, an independent division of Perennia Food and Agriculture Corp., is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support applied ocean and coastal research that advances the sustainable management of Nova Scotia’s marine resources. This role offers hands-on experience in a flexible hybrid environment split between CMAR’s COVE office and Dalhousie University’s Department of Oceanography, where the successful candidate will analyze coastal monitoring and environmental datasets using statistical and coding techniques (R and/or Python) to examine ocean temperature variability and long-term trends. Guided by experienced scientists, this opportunity is ideal for upper-year students in oceanography, marine science, or data-focused disciplines who are eager to build practical research, data analysis, and scientific reporting skills in a collaborative, real-world research setting.
