JASCO Applied Sciences is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student to support the design and development of advanced underwater acoustic recording instruments used globally across environmental, energy, defence, and marine sectors. Based in Halifax, this role offers hands-on experience working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and technicians, contributing to mechanical design, prototyping, testing, and assembly of underwater systems from concept through to deployment. The successful candidate will gain practical experience using SolidWorks, participating in failure analysis, mechanical testing, and equipment mobilization, while building strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills in a real-world product development environment.
