SUMMARY:Oceans in Action 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Oceans in Action 2025 Workshop is an in-person event showcasing marine science and technology research efforts along the Gulf Coast that evolve into operational missions worldwide. Building on the success of the larger OCEANS 2023 Conference\, the workshop will feature presentations from locally based federal agencies\, state-led initiatives\, and high-tech companies. This year’s event will once again spotlight the outcomes of the Advanced Naval Technology Exercise (ANTX) vignettes conducted in the Gulf of Mexico in 2024. These vignettes\, supported by the Department of the Navy\, NOAA\, USM\, and LSU\, highlight the testing of new technologies in operational scenarios. \nHosted by the Marine Technology Society’s Gulf Coast Section and the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology\, the workshop will take place along the vibrant Mississippi Gulf Coast\, offering numerous networking opportunities for marine science and technology companies. Attendees will have the chance to connect with a growing list of event partners.
