DESCRIPTION:The 2025 UN Ocean Conference\, co-hosted by the Governments of France and Costa Rica\, will take place from 9 to 13 June 2025 in Nice\, France. \nThe 2025 UN Ocean Conference will be focused on “Accelerating action and mobilizing all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean”. It will seek to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG14)\, with three main priorities\, to produce an ambitious Nice Ocean Action Plan: \n\nPriority 1: Working towards completion of multilateral processes linked to the ocean\nPriority 2: Mobilizing finance resources for the SDG14 and supporting the development of a sustainable blue economy\nPriority 3: Strengthen and better disseminate knowledge linked to marine sciences to enhance policy-making\n\nThe Ocean Decade will be present and will play a key role in the Conference by hosting events and providing opportunities to put ocean science and knowledge at the heart of global ocean action. \nAs we reach the midway point of the Ocean Decade\, this Conference is a pivotal moment to take stock of progress\, showcase the impact of our network of endorsed Actions\, and accelerate action toward delivering the science we need for the ocean we want.
