Drilling mud is a byproduct of crude oil extractions from the ground or offshore.  The waste mitigation process typically utilized often leaves behind valuable crude drilling additives or fluids.  Jillian’s project team worked with Envirosoil to optimize the concept design to recover and reuse these.

Tonya McLellan, P.Eng., Civil Engineer and Manager of Airside/Groundside Infrastructure at Halifax Stanfield, will highlight some of the major infrastructure developments of the airfield, including the extension of its main runway, its 10-year restoration plan, as well as the complexities of maintaining airfield operations during construction.
