On Earth Day (April 22), join us at this month’s Ocean Connector as we welcome the President and CEO of the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, Rear Admiral Jonathan White, USN (ret). Jon will discuss the role of the consortium, working collectively to develop policies that protect our ocean using a balanced approach that is both economic and environmental, and cultivating interest in the ocean to grow the workforce of the future.

 

Jonathan White held a celebrated 32-year career in the Navy which included directing the Navy task force on climate change, before joining the Consortium for Ocean Leadership in 2016. The Consortium includes more than 90 organizations from academia, industry, and the non-profit sector striving to advance ocean science and technology through discovery, understanding, and action. They partner with organizations in the United States and Canada, such as with COVE, to grow a stronger, global blue economy.
