Four ocean leaders from Washington, California, and Mexico join us for a Q&A session about what’s new in the ocean innovation sector. From emerging technologies, strategic priorities, gaps, opportunities, and connecting with companies on the east coast to grow the global ocean ecosystem.
Meet the Speakers:
Joshua Berger is the CEO and Founder of Washington Maritime Blue, a strategic alliance formed to accelerate innovation and sustainability in support of an inclusive blue economy. Joshua is working diligently to help Washington state assert itself as a global leader in innovation and sustainability while fostering a growing economy in an increasingly competitive national and international marketplace.
Greg Murphy is an internationally recognized and effective connector of ocean sustainability stakeholders, having promoted collaboration among academia, industry and government for more than a decade to develop sustainable solutions for humanity’s greatest challenges. Greg spearheaded the launch of Eat Blue™ – BlueNalu’s educational initiative to promote sustainable seafood and ocean optimism, with a focus on ocean health, human health, animal welfare and the blue economy.
Ann Carpenter brings more than 30 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, business development and community outreach. She serves as an advisor to entrepreneurs in industries including transportation and goods movement, energy, and ocean/maritime. As co-founder and CEO of Braid Theory, Ann is primarily responsible for strategic partnership building with public entities and private industry.
Andres Campos holds an Executive MBA and double bachelors degrees in International Business. He has been in charge of operations at the Ensenada Economic Development Corporation since 2015 and is focused on growing Mexico’s blue economy.
